Rumours I Heard explores inequality in the art world through the lens of rumour—a form of information that hovers between truth and fabrication. Narrated by the imagined voice of a young painter, the video questions the intangible and elusive nature of the art world, which often feels out of reach. Two well-known artworks are semi-confidentially referenced, serving as both gateways and obstacles to entering the artistic sphere. Rendered in the stylised visuals of a SketchUp programme, the work amplifies the abstract and hollow qualities of both rumour and the art world itself.

《들리는 소문에 의하면》은 진실과 거짓 사이를 맴도는 정보 형태인 ‘소문’을 통해 미술계의 불평등을 이야기한다. 젊은 화가의 가상의 목소리를 빌려 전개되는 이 영상은, 손에 닿지 않고 실체가 없는 듯한 미술계의 실존적 모호함을 질문하고 유희한다. 두 명의 유명 작가의 작업이 암시적으로 등장하며, 예술 세계로의 진입을 위한 문턱이자 동시에 장벽으로 기능한다. SketchUp 프로그램으로 구성된 영상 속 이미지들은, 미술계와 소문 모두의 공허하고도 모호한 성격을 더욱 부각시킨다.
